Taste of Kenya Safari

Jambo! Welcome to Kenya. Your safari begins in Nairobi the capital city. Upon arrival, you will be welcome by our airport representative who will then transfer you to the hotel for check in. The rest of the day spent at leisure.

You will meet your driver guide today for the tour briefing so that he/she can be able to take you through the itinerary. The guide will also be able to answer any of your questions related to your trip.

Breakfast at the hotel, thereafter, check out and proceed to Amboseli National Park located (approx 5 hours) south of Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will check in and have lunch afterwards then relax a little bit before we depart for a late afternoon game drive and enjoy our first of several other game drives in this beautiful park.

The name Amboseli was derived from the Maasai tribe word meaning “salty dusty place”, in reference to salty volcanic ash spewed from Mount Kilimanjaro thousands of years ago.

We will depart early in the morning for another game drive exploring different parts of the park. Amboseli is known for its big herds of elephants roaming the vast plains in search of food and water. Other resident animals to see in this park include zebras, lions, giraffes, buffalos, gazelles, cheetahs and many more.

On a lucky day subject to the weather and cloud conditions, you may be able to view the snow-covered peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain.

We will check out after breakfast and head off to Lake Naivasha (approximately 7 hours). We will briefly stop at the Great Rift Valley view point before proceeding to Lake Naivasha .upon arrival; you will check in and have lunch afterwards. The rest of the day will be spent at leisure.  There are several optional activities to do this afternoon such as boat ride or game walk at a nearby wildlife sanctuary.

 Depart the hotel after breakfast and head off to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 6 hours). We will arrive late in the afternoon in time for lunch. We will check-in then relax a little bit before departing for the afternoon game drive and enjoy our first of several game drives in Masai Mara.

After breakfast, we will depart for an early morning game drive. Witness the spectacular procession of wildlife that roams the vast plains of the park. This ecosystem is home to various species of wildlife such as wildebeest, zebras, lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffalos and the elusive leopard.

This is the place where one of the greatest spectacles on earth-the annual wildebeest migration takes place, where millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles migrate between Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and Masai Mara in Kenya.

After breakfast, you will check out and transfer back to Nairobi (approximately 6hrs). The trip ends today in Nairobi late in the afternoon. Accommodation is not included on this day, but we would be glad to arrange this for you if would like to have an additional post-trip accommodation (charged extra).
